Around 1910, this four-hole punch was likely the top of the line. It punches for the Trio binder system, a layout from 1890 that became the Swedish standard, and it gets used every day. It was thrown out when an employer closed an office, and it came home for its looks. Its owner has wrecked more heavy-duty punches than they care to remember. This one handles whatever fits in the gap, and it has been oiled zero times in fifteen years.

One of the four punches comes down a beat after the others.
