    Horn & Hardart's coin-op Automat restaurants in New York

    Done for 1991

    The last one, at 42nd Street and Third Avenue, closed April 9, 1991. In the 1940s and 50s, over 50 of them in New York served 350,000 people a day.

  2. Since 1945

    The Slinky, made at a factory in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

    Still going

    Slinkys are made in Hollidaysburg, about 3 million a year. The metal ones come off the same 11 machines built for the job in 1945.

  3. Since 1866

    Vernors, a ginger ale from Detroit

    Vernors is made by Keurig Dr Pepper. The story says it was aged in oak barrels during the Civil War, but trademark filings suggest it went on sale around 1880.

  4. Since 2001

    The Segway PT, a two-wheeled self-balancing scooter

    Segway said in June 2020 it would stop making the PT. Only about 140,000 were ever sold, and by the end it brought in 1.5 percent of the company's profit.

    Club Penguin, Disney's online game world for kids

    Club Penguin shut its servers on March 30, 2017, after passing 200 million accounts. Disney had paid about $351 million for it in 2007.
