    Done for 2009

    Microsoft stopped selling Encarta in June 2009 and shut its websites on Oct 31, 2009. Its end is widely blamed on Wikipedia, which had grown bigger than it.

    The Chevrolet Camaro

    Done for 2023

    Chevy built the last sixth-generation Camaro in December 2023. It had quit before, too: production stopped in 2002 and did not restart until 2009.

    A McDonald's with a walk-up window in Downey, California

    Still serving. Opened August 18, 1953, it is the oldest operating McDonald's. It was nearly torn down after 1994 earthquake damage, and got a drive-thru in 2016.

    Microsoft Paint, the drawing program that comes with Windows

    Paint is in Windows 11. Microsoft marked it deprecated in July 2017, backed off after an outpouring of support, and has since given it layers, transparency and AI tools.

    Double-decker trams on Hong Kong Island

    Still going

    Hong Kong's trams have run since July 30, 1904. They hold the Guinness record for the largest double-decker tram fleet in service, and an adult ride costs HK$3.30.
