    Microsoft ended production on October 25, 2017. At launch it sold 8 million units in 60 days, a Guinness record for fastest-selling consumer electronics device.

    American Bandstand, a TV dance show from Philadelphia

    Done for 1989

    American Bandstand ended October 7, 1989, on the USA Network after 3,002 episodes. Dick Clark hosted from 1956 until its final season, when David Hirsch took over.

  3. Since 1805

    A granite face on a New Hampshire mountainside

    Done for 2003

    The Old Man of the Mountain, first written about in 1805, fell in the early hours of May 3, 2003. Nobody noticed it was gone until about 10:30 that morning.
