    BlackBerry phones running BlackBerry's own software

    On January 4, 2022, BlackBerry shut down the services behind BlackBerry 7 and BlackBerry 10. Those phones lost reliable data, calls, texts and 911.

  2. Since 1972

    A NASA probe, the first to fly past Jupiter

    Done for 2003

    Pioneer 10's last, very weak signal reached Earth on January 23, 2003, after its power source ran down. It is still coasting, silently, toward the star Aldebaran.

    MD-80 "Mad Dog" jets on major US passenger airlines

    Done for 2020

    American flew its last MD-80 trips in September 2019, and Delta retired its MD-88s and MD-90s on June 2, 2020. That ended US scheduled service on McDonnell Douglas jets.

    HMS Victory, a wooden warship

    HMS Victory is still a commissioned Royal Navy ship, the oldest in the world, and flagship of the First Sea Lord. She has sat in dry dock in Portsmouth since 1922.
