   CBS's Late Show, its 11:35 p.m. talk show

   Done for 2026

   CBS aired the last Late Show on May 21, 2026, and retired the franchise after 33 years: 22 seasons with Letterman and 11 with Colbert.

2. Since 1877

   A cable car incline up Pittsburgh's Mount Washington

   Still going

   The Duquesne Incline runs every day, 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., in its original wooden cars. Local residents rescued it in 1963, and it is cash only.

3. Since 1817

   The ferry between Lower Manhattan and Staten Island

   Still going

   Still running 24 hours a day, and free since 1997. It carried 16,692,900 riders in 2025. For most of the 20th century the fare was a nickel.

4. Since 1977

   The Lada Niva, a boxy Soviet-designed 4x4

   Still going

   Still built, now sold as the Niva Legend. Production started in 1977, and AvtoVAZ gave it a new 1.8-litre, 90 hp engine in July 2026.

5. Since 1919

   Barbasol, a shaving cream in a can with barber-pole stripes

   Still going

   Barbasol is made in Ashland, Ohio. MIT professor Frank Shields came up with it in 1919, and the first batches were filled and packed by hand in Indianapolis.
