A contractor's 2003 F-150 hauls his tools every day, hundreds of pounds of them, and that weight has worn the bed and the body. In one year it went from 450,000 miles to 480,000, on the original engine and the original transmission, with no major work. The interior is falling apart. He plans to retire it at 500,000, when it will be about 18 years old, three years younger than his youngest daughter.

It's a single cab, and most days three grown men squeeze into it.
