The drill that built the crib

About 33 years ago a new dad built a crib with this Makita drill and an orbital finishing sander. The baby grew up and had a son, who sleeps in that crib, and the tools came along with it. The drill has a keyed chuck, the kind you tighten with a little geared key, and on most drills that key is the first thing to go missing. Replacements are harder to match than you'd think. A cordless drill does most of the work these days. The Makita comes out when a job needs two drills, so nobody has to keep swapping bits.
