Played with it as a kid, so Grandma handed it over

As a small kid, one grandchild played with Grandma's carpet sweeper constantly, which probably cut her housework in half. She had bought it in the early 1960s. There's no motor in a sweeper. Push it and the wheels spin a brush that flicks the dirt up into a pan, so there's very little to wear out. When that grandchild moved into a first apartment, the sweeper went along. It handles the flat carpet and the bathroom rugs there, and it did fine on Grandma's fluffy ones. Its new owner likes it better than the actual vacuum. So does the cat, which hates the vacuum.
