A Gillette Old Type double-edge razor with a ball-end handle, from around 1920. It belonged to a great-grandfather and does the shaving every day. Handles matter, according to its owner: a heavier brass one does more of the work on the downstroke, the way a heavy cleaver chops better than a filet knife, and poor knurling makes a razor hard to control. This one's knurling is good.
